Getting to know you
Our initial consultation is all about getting to know you and understanding more about your situation. We’ll discuss what life looks like now and explore your goals for the future – where you want to be and what you dream of doing.
We feel this is one of the most important parts of the whole process, as it allows us to find out whether we’re the right fit for one another. Connection and chemistry are crucial to a long-term relationship.
Research and analysis
Once we’ve agreed to continue working together, we’ll go away and start our research. This is where financial planning truly comes into play! We’ll look at what you have now, and what you’ll need to achieve your goals for the future – then we explore the right solutions to help bridge the gap.
Presenting your plan
After we have compiled our recommendations, we’ll meet again to present them to you in the form of your bespoke financial plan. We’ll talk things through in detail (jargon-free!) and explain the reasoning behind our choices, including the level of risk involved.
Your opinion matters, so we won’t go ahead with anything you’re not 100% sure about. This is the chance for us to fine-tune it together until you’re completely happy.
Implementation
Once you’re happy with your strategic plan, it’s time for us to put it into action. We’ll confirm it in writing and deal with all of the fund and contract admin on your behalf. We’ll also make sure you’re kept updated on your progress with regular communications.
Ongoing services
We believe we can add the most value when we work with people on an ongoing basis. If you opt for our ongoing services, we’ll meet at least once a year to talk through your plan and see if it’s still working in the best way for you.
It’s our chance to discuss any changes in your circumstances or your objectives for the future and adjust your plan accordingly, ensuring you stay on track. It’s also just a great opportunity for a coffee and a catch-up!
Our fee philosophy
We think it’s important for us to get to know each other and confirm how we can support you before we charge you for any work. That’s why we’ll always hold an initial consultation at our cost. We will also discuss all of our service costs with you in full before we implement anything.
